There was a King Kong figure produced by Bandai circa 1991. The figure can be found on ebay from time to time, but it fetches a hefty price.
Japanese manufacturers have had a horrible time trying to sucure rights to use the likeness from Universal. They too want a hefty price tag.
Money is also what prevented Toho from making a remake of King Kong vs Godzilla, which they have wanted to do for two decades.
